What $325 Buys You In BlowFish

If you‘re relatively new to the area of search advertising, you might have heard the expression"SEO content" being thrown around in marketing meetings.

This beginner‘s guide is designed to answer three questions:

  1. What is"SEO articles"?
  2. What kinds of SEO visit this web-site content are there?
  3. What‘s my search engine optimization content strategy?

If you have some questions regarding approaches for SEO content creation that I do not answer here, let me know in the comments and I‘ll answer them here or in a future blog post.

Let‘s begin!

What Is SEO Content?

To understand what marketers imply by SEO content, it is helpful to break down the term into its constituent parts:

  • "SEO" describes search engine optimization or the process of optimizing a website so people can easily find it via search engines such as google. A editorial calendar is a schedule that dictates when you are going to publish new content and which kind of content it will be. This will allow you to stick to a regular program (it‘s especially important to create new content on a regular basis when you‘ve got a site ), in addition to prevent you from scrambling to come up with a topic for new content in the last moment.

A Couple of hints for creating and sticking to an editorial calendar:

    • Use Outlook (or Google Calendar) -- Share the editorial calendar with your entire marketing team. Set up reminders for authors so that they receive a notification when a deadline is coming up.
    • Consider creating ongoing features -- For instance, a food site might do a meatless recipe every Monday. Many blogs do associate roundups once a week (including this one). Produce a class page for each continuing attribute, so people can find all of your Meatless Monday recipes or join roundups in one place.
    • Give yourself plenty of lead time when generating more complicated kinds of content, such as videos and infographics. These generally need a number of rounds of edits into ideal and can be complicated to optimize for search.
    • Do not plan too far out in advance -- Calendars often get derailed after a month or two, because of changes in advertising goals, budgets, or staff, so don‘t attempt to plan a schedule for another year and risk wasting a lot of time and effort.

    Examine and re-assess

Finally, keep on top of your website‘s analytics. Regularly examine your search engine optimization articles to understand what‘s effective and what is not. Good measures of success and involvement include page views, hyperlinks, comments (on blog posts and several other sorts of articles ), social shares (Facebook enjoys, tweets, etc.), and conversion rates. Your analysis should have two aims:

    • Study your successes so that you may repeat those approaches -- Search for patterns. Does your audience love videos? Then make videos! Correct your editorial calendar moving forward so that you can focus more time and effort about the content types that actually resonate.
    • Carve out time for upgrading and enhancing older SEO articles -- Should you attempted to optimize an article for a certain key word, but it‘s getting more traffic to get a different variant of that keyword, then go back in and re-optimize it for the new keyword.
